Pack orders with the packing station
Check every item into the box with a barcode scanner, get the shipping label, and move straight on to the next order.
The packing station shows one order at a time as photo cards, so you can check each item into the box before it ships. Use a barcode scanner (any USB or Bluetooth scanner that types the code and presses Enter) or count by hand. When the box is complete, one key packs it and, for InPost and GLS, downloads the shipping label; the next key opens the next order.
Start packing
- Go to Orders, open the To pack tab and click Start packing. The station opens the oldest order waiting to be packed.
- Or open any order and click Pack – the first button on an order that still needs packing.
The header shows who the order is for, how it ships and how many orders are left to pack.
Check items into the box
Each item in the order is a card with:
- the photo of the exact variant sold – its own colour or size, not just the main product photo
- how many to pack, in amber when it's more than one
- the shelf it sits on, if you have given the product a shelf location in Inventory
- the name, options, SKU and barcode
Scan an item and it's counted: its card turns amber while it's partly in the box, green when it's complete and red when there are too many (take one out and press −). A high beep means the scan counted; a low beep means the item isn't in this order or there's one too many.
- Several of the same item? Scan one to check it's the right product, then press All to count the rest.
- No scanner? Use + and − on each card.
- Sets, bundles and subscription boxes show every item inside as its own card with its photo and barcode, so you can scan them too.
- Notes come first. The order note, PO number and personalised items appear above the cards, so you read them before you close the box.
Pack the box and get the label
When everything is in, press Enter (or click Mark packed).
- InPost and GLS orders: packing also creates the shipping label and downloads it. Print it, stick it on the box and press Enter again for the next order. If the label can't be created – say the customer didn't pick a locker – the order stays packed: click Create label to try again, or open the order details to fix it.
- Other orders go straight on to the next one.
- Missing something? Press Pack anyway to close the box short (you'll be asked to confirm), or Skip to leave the order for later – it comes round again at the end of the queue.
Packed by mistake? Open the order and click Unmark packed.
Tips
- Just scan. The scan box stays ready: even after a click somewhere else on the page, the next scan still lands in it.
- Bigger or smaller cards. On a wide screen, switch between 3 and 4 cards per row with Columns in the header. The station remembers your choice on that computer.
- Pack many at once without checking. Select orders on the To pack tab and choose Mark packed from the bulk actions.
Marking orders as packed is included in the Growth and Pro plans.
