Sell in multiple currencies

Enable extra currencies and set per-currency prices on products, shipping, coupons, and promotions.

Your store has one base currency — the one you get paid in. On top of that you can enable additional currencies so shoppers see prices in money they recognize, without doing mental math at checkout.

Base currency vs additional currencies

What it is
Base currencyThe currency your store is priced and settled in. Set once in Set your currency.
Additional currenciesExtra currencies you switch on so you can set a second (or third) price for the same product.

Additional currencies are part of the Localization module, alongside multiple languages.

Available currencies

Polish Zloty (PLN), US Dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), British Pound (GBP), Swiss Franc (CHF), Japanese Yen (JPY), Norwegian Krone (NOK), Danish Krone (DKK), Swedish Krona (SEK), Hungarian Forint (HUF), Czech Koruna (CZK), and Chinese Yuan (CNY).

Your base currency isn't listed as an option — it's already in use.

Turn on an extra currency

  1. Open Settings → Modules and enable Localization.
  2. Open Localization and find Additional Currencies.
  3. Switch on each currency you want to price in. Changes save as you flip them.

Set your prices

Once a currency is enabled, a price field for it appears on:

  • Products — including each variant
  • Shipping methods
  • Coupons — for fixed-amount discounts
  • Promotions

You set these prices yourself rather than relying on a live exchange rate. That's deliberate: you get clean, memorable numbers instead of $10.87, and your margin doesn't move every time the market does.

Tip: Round to prices that feel native to the market. €19 reads better than €18.63, and shoppers trust a tidy number more.

FAQ

Are prices converted automatically?

No. You set the price for each enabled currency yourself, so you stay in control of both the rounding and the margin.

What happens if I forget to set a price in one currency?

Set a price for every enabled currency on every product you sell. Enable a currency only when you're ready to price your catalog in it.

Which currency does a customer get charged in?

The one your storefront is showing them, using the price you set for it. Payouts still land in your Stripe account under your normal settlement setup — see Connect Stripe to get paid.

Does this change my taxes?

Tax behaviour is set separately and applies whichever currency is used — see Set up taxes.
