Connect other tools to Elliot with MCP servers
Connect services like Klaviyo, Notion, Ahrefs or Zapier in Add-ons so Elliot can use them while you chat.
Many services now offer an MCP server: a standard way for AI assistants to use the service's tools. When you connect one, Elliot can use it in chat. For example, with Notion connected you can ask Elliot to turn your product notes into product pages, and with Ahrefs connected you can ask which keywords to target.
Connections belong to your store, so everyone on your team can use them in their chats with Elliot.
Find a service
Open Add-ons. Services Elliot can use have an MCP tag. Search for one by name, or type mcp to see all of them. They sit in the usual categories, plus Design and Productivity. Use the type filter to see only add-ons or only MCP servers.
Ready to connect:
- Email marketing: Klaviyo
- Analytics and SEO: Ahrefs, Amplitude, Mixpanel
- Design: MagicPath
- Payments: PayPal
- Customers: Attio
- Productivity: Notion, Zapier, monday.com
Klaviyo and PayPal also have regular add-ons that sync your store with them. The MCP versions are separate: they let Elliot read and work in those services when you ask it to.
Connect a service
- In Add-ons, open the service.
- Click Connect.
- Sign in to the service and allow access.
You come back to the service's page, which now says Connected and lists what Elliot can do there. Nobody else on your team needs to sign in again.
You can also just ask Elliot. If a service isn't connected yet, Elliot shows a Sign in button in the chat.
Add a service that isn't listed
Any service with a remote MCP server works, even if it isn't in the list.
- Find the server address in the service's settings or help. Look for "Connect your AI agent", "MCP" or "Other agents". It starts with
https://and often ends in/mcp. - In Add-ons, click Add server on the Add your own MCP server card.
- Give it a Name and paste the Server URL.
- Optionally, describe What it's for, for example "Our supplier price lists". Elliot reads this to decide when to use it.
- If the service gave you an API key, paste it into API key. It's sent as
Authorization: Bearer …. If the service wants it in another header, type that header's name into Key header. - Click Add server.
YNS connects to the server straight away. If it needs a sign-in, click Connect on its page. If the address or the key is wrong, you'll see what went wrong and nothing is saved. Servers you would run on your own computer can't be added.
Decide when Elliot asks first
By default, Elliot asks you before it uses a tool that changes something in the other service, such as creating or deleting a file. Tools the service marks as read-only run without asking.
To be asked before every action, open the service in Add-ons and set When Elliot asks you first to Before every action.
Elliot treats what these services send back as information, not as instructions. It won't change your store because of something it read in another service unless you asked for that change.
Manage a connection
On the service's page you can:
- Check connection to connect again and refresh the list of what Elliot can do
- Sign out to disconnect your account (Elliot asks for a new sign-in next time)
- Replace API key for services that use a key
- Turn off Let Elliot use it to hide the service from Elliot without removing it
- Remove the service, which also deletes its saved sign-in or key
A store can connect up to 20 MCP servers.
