Sell wholesale to business buyers

Give repeat business buyers their own negotiated prices and a private ordering panel, without touching your retail storefront.

Wholesale is for the buyers who order from you again and again – cafés, restaurants, resellers, other shops. Each one gets prices you agreed with them and a private panel where they place orders themselves. Your retail storefront, checkout, and promotions stay exactly as they are.

Not on your storefront. Wholesale prices never appear on your storefront, in a cached product page, or at retail checkout. They only show up in your dashboard, on the order form, and in the buyer's own panel at id.yns.store.

How it works

  1. You set the prices. Build a price list: a discount off retail, plus fixed prices for specific products if you want them.
  2. You add a client. Enter the buyer's email and assign them a price list.
  3. The buyer gets an invitation. YNS emails them a link to their ordering panel.
  4. The buyer signs in at id.yns.store. They use a one-time email code, with no password to remember, and see your catalog at their prices.
  5. The buyer orders and you get paid. Their order reserves stock straight away. They pay by card or bank transfer, or you mark it paid yourself.

Turn it on

Wholesale is a module that's included on every plan. Open Settings → Modules → Wholesale and switch it On.

A Wholesale section then appears in your sidebar with two pages:

  • Clients – the business buyers you sell to, and the price list each one gets.
  • Price lists – the deals you offer.

If you open a Wholesale page while the module is off, you'll see "Wholesale is turned off" and an Enable Wholesale button.

Clients vs. customers

Every wholesale client is also one of your customers, but only a client has a price list attached. Making someone a client doesn't change anything else about them. It adds a deal and a panel on top of their existing customer record, and their retail orders keep working as before.

FAQ

Can a buyer sign up for wholesale themselves?

No. You add each client yourself. There's no application form for buyers yet.

Can a client see other clients, or prices that aren't theirs?

No. A client only sees your published catalog, their own prices, and their own orders.

Do wholesale orders count in my analytics?

Yes. A wholesale order is a real order, and it counts like any other once it's paid. It carries a Wholesale badge so you can tell it apart.

Is there an API?

Yes. Price lists, clients, fixed prices and orders are all available under /api/v1/wholesale, with the wholesale:read and wholesale:write scopes.
